Day 1: Account Setup

Create Your Account

Visit Edge Analyzer

Go to edgeanalyzer.com and click Get Started.

Sign Up

Enter your email and create a password.

Verify Email

Check your email and click the verification link.

Start Trial

Your 14-day free trial of the Pro plan begins automatically. No credit card required.

Choose Your Data Source

During onboarding, select how to bring your trading data into Edge Analyzer:

Explore the Dashboard

Once set up, explore your dashboard:
  1. Account Cards — Overview of each connected account
  2. P&L Summary — Consolidated profit/loss across all accounts
  3. Goal Progress — Track weekly and monthly targets
  4. AI Insights — Data-driven trading recommendations (Pro feature)

Day 2-3: Connect Your Broker

Add Your First Connection

Navigate to Connections

Go to Connections in the sidebar.

Click Add Connection

Choose Rithmic, Tradovate, or ProjectX.

Enter Credentials

Provide your broker credentials (encrypted and secure).

Connect

Edge Analyzer discovers all accounts under those credentials.

Verify Account Discovery

After connecting:
  1. Check that all your accounts appear in the Accounts section
  2. Verify balances match your broker
  3. If accounts are missing, click Refresh Accounts on the connection

Set Up Copy Trading

If you trade multiple accounts:

Go to Cockpit

Navigate to Copy Trading in the sidebar.

Create a Group

Name your group (e.g., “Apex Accounts”).

Set Leader

Choose which account you’ll trade on.

Add Followers

Select accounts to receive copied trades.

Activate

Enable the group and place a test trade.
Test copy trading with a small position before relying on it for normal trading.

Day 4-5: Start Journaling

Create Your First Entry

Navigate to Journal

Go to Journal in the sidebar.

Click New Entry

Start a new journal entry.

Document Your Session

Write about your trading day, including:
  • Pre-market analysis
  • Trade reasoning
  • Emotional state
  • Lessons learned

Link Trades

Attach specific trades to your entry.

Add Tags

Tag with setup types and emotions.

Build Your Playbook

Document your trading setups:
  1. Go to Playbook in the sidebar
  2. Click New Setup
  3. Name and describe your setup (e.g., “Failed Breakdown Reclaim”)
  4. Document entry rules, stop placement, and targets
  5. Add chart examples
  6. Classify as A+, B, or C setup

Set Your Goals

Configure profit targets:
  1. Go to SettingsGoals
  2. Set your weekly profit target
  3. Set your monthly profit target
  4. Save your goals
These targets appear on your dashboard with progress tracking.

Day 6-7: Review and Optimize

Check Your Analytics

Review your performance data:
  1. Dashboard — Overall P&L and account health
  2. Analytics — Detailed metrics (win rate, profit factor, etc.)
  3. Session Analysis — Which times you trade best
  4. Instrument Analysis — Which markets suit your style

Review AI Insights

If on Pro plan:
  1. Go to the Insights section
  2. Read AI-generated observations about your trading
  3. Take note of recommended actions
  4. Implement changes based on data, not intuition

Record Purchases and Payouts

Track your prop trading business:
  1. Go to Purchases and record evaluation fees, reset fees, etc.
  2. Go to Payouts and record any payouts received
  3. Check your ROI to see your true prop trading profitability

Ongoing Best Practices

Daily

  • Journal every trading session
  • Review connected account status
  • Check goal progress

Weekly

  • Review AI insights
  • Analyze win/loss patterns
  • Update playbook with new learnings

Monthly

  • Review overall ROI
  • Adjust goals as needed
  • Archive closed accounts

Quarterly

  • Deep performance review
  • Refine trading system
  • Evaluate subscription plan
