Default Group
When you add your first trading connection (Rithmic, Tradovate, or ProjectX), Edge Analyzer automatically creates a Default Group for you. This group:- Uses your first connection as the leader (source)
- Includes all accounts discovered under that connection
- Has no followers initially
- Starts in an inactive state

Managing Groups
Editing a Group
Click on any group to edit its settings:- Change the group name
- Adjust the copy ratio
- Add or remove followers
- Change the leader account
Activating/Deactivating
Toggle the group’s active status to pause copy trading without deleting the configuration.- Active — Trades on the leader are copied to followers
- Inactive — No copying occurs, but the group configuration is preserved
Deleting a Group
Remove a group when you no longer need it. This doesn’t affect your accounts or trade history.Drag and Drop
The Groups page supports drag-and-drop for quickly adding followers:Find Available Connections
Look for the Available Connections panel (shows connections not yet assigned as followers).
Visual Feedback
- The dragged item shows a shadow while being dragged
- The target group highlights with a ring when you hover over it
- A “Drop to add follower” message appears on the target group
Validation
- You cannot add a connection that is already a follower in any group
- You cannot add a group’s leader as a follower in the same group
Group Rules and Constraints
Edge Analyzer enforces the following rules:Minimum One Group
You must always have at least one copy trading group. If you see “Cannot delete the last group”:- Edit instead of delete — Modify the existing group’s configuration
- Deactivate — If you want to stop copy trading temporarily
Follower Uniqueness
A follower account can only belong to one copy trading group at a time. This prevents conflicting trade executions where the same account would receive duplicate trades from multiple sources. If you see “Follower already assigned to another group”:- Identify which group currently has the follower
- Remove the follower from that group
- Add the follower to the new group
Source Exclusivity
A connection used as a source (leader) in one group can still be used as a follower in another group, but the same connection cannot be both source and follower within the same group.Overview Dashboard
When you have copy trading groups configured, the Groups page displays an Overview section at the top with:| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Groups | Number of copy trading configurations |
| Active Groups | Groups currently copying trades (with inactive count) |
| Leaders | Number of source accounts |
| Followers | Total target accounts across all groups |
Multiple Groups
You can create multiple copy trading groups for different strategies:- “ES Morning Scalps” — Copies from your primary Rithmic account to 3 follower accounts
- “NQ Swing Trades” — Copies from a different source to 2 other accounts
- “Funded Only” — Group containing only your funded accounts
