MetaTrader 5

MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is the most widely used platform for forex and CFD trading, supported by hundreds of brokers and prop firms worldwide.

Connection Type

MT5 connects via HTML trade report import. There is no live connection — you export your trade history from MT5 and import it into Edge Analyzer.

How to Export

  1. Open MetaTrader 5
  2. Go to ViewToolboxTrade History tab
  3. Right-click in the trade history area
  4. Select Save as Detailed Report
  5. Save the HTML file to your computer

FTMO is one of the most popular forex/CFD prop firms. Edge Analyzer supports direct CSV import from FTMO’s Trading Journal, alongside MT4 and MT5 report imports.

Connection Type

FTMO connects via CSV trade export from the FTMO Trading Journal. You can also import FTMO trades using MT4 or MT5 HTML reports if you prefer.

  1. Log in to your FTMO account
  2. Navigate to the Trading Journal section
  3. Select your desired date range
